With over 70 years of history in the food industry, this is an established, NZ owned business, employing over 700 people across their sites. A familiar name, providing quality products to NZ households.
  
About the role
Based in Mt Wellington, providing general maintenance and handyman duties, maintaining the sense of pride staff have when they walk through the door each morning. Completing tasks including minor plumbing, groundwork, painting and repairs, you will also supervise the onsite cleaning crew, ensuring standards are high and work is completed on time.
  
You will also liaise with external contractors for those jobs requiring specialist trade expertise and exhibit excellent problem-solving skills. A good understanding of workplace health and safety, coupled with well rounded knowledge of using hand and power tools is required.
  
Applicants will also need excellent time management and communication skills and be able to provide examples of managing and scheduling successful teams.
  
To be successful you’ll need  
  • Experience in a previous maintenance or caretaking role
  • Proven people management and leadership
  • Be physically fit and able to undertake hands on tasks
  • Great communication
  • Knowledge and competency with Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to work outside of production hours when needed
