Finance Assistant – Permanent, Full time

Based in Wellington

Whakatairangatia ngā kete o te mātauranga ki te ao mārama! E te tai whakarunga, e te tai whakararo – nau piki mai, nau kake mai ki te Mana Tohu Mātauranga o Aotearoa.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this role will predominately be completing core transactional processing, completing and assisting with regulatory and other financial reporting requirements, ensuring adequate process documentation is in place and assisting with process and system improvements. 

Skills and experience

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Willingness to put in extra effort to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a team member for the good of the team.
  • Accuracy with numbers.
  • Attention to detail and an analytical approach.
  • Customer focused approach.
  • Good interpersonal skills including oral and written communication.
  • Experience with MS office products including intermediate level Excel.
  • Good customer services skills (e.g. dealing with people and problem resolution).
  • Ability to adapt, learn and develop.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
