Job Description
Anopportunity has become available for a Finance Business Partner to join a well-established organisation. This position is ideal for a qualified CA accountant with a strong commercial mindset, looking to step into a strategic role with a clear pathway to act as the 2IC to the CFO.
It offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality financial analysis and insights to senior leaders and contributing to the organisation’s long-term success.
About the role:
You will play a key role in delivering financial reporting and analysis, supporting organisational performance, and providing actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making. Reporting to the CFO, this role bridges high-level financial strategies with operational execution and will be involved in audit-related workstreams, making prior audit exposure highly beneficial.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of month-end results, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets
- Act as the Business Intelligence champion, ensuring data and reporting integrity
- Develop automated and dynamic reporting models using BI tools and Excel
- Analyse customer and product trends, focusing on financial performance and margin tracking
- Prepare reporting packs for leadership meetings, business reviews, and Board presentations
- Lead operational productivity reporting and budget coordination
- Develop business cases for key projects, including lease renewals and capital expenditure
- Build and maintain Oracle BI dashboards to support financial KPI benchmarking
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About you:
- CA qualifiedwith a degree in accounting or a related field
- Strong technical accounting skills with exposure to audit (internal or external)
- Demonstrated commercial insight and ability to translate data into strategic value
- Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills, with experience managing large datasets
- Familiarity with Oracle BI, Power BI, and data visualisation tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused, with excellent organisational ability
