We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Gardener to help maintain the stunning grounds of a high-end lifestyle village in Tauranga. If you have a genuine passion for horticulture and a keen eye for presentation, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role:

• Pay Rate: $26 per hour
• Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
• Job Type: Temporary (with the potential to go long-term for the right person)
• Start Date: Immediate

This role involves maintaining beautifully landscaped areas while working around residents, staff, and property features. As you’ll be in the public eye, professionalism and care in your work are essential. The site has strict standards for presentation, so we’re looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality garden maintenance.

Duties Include:

• Planting flowers, shrubs, and seasonal displays
• Mulching and soil conditioning
• Pruning trees, hedges, and shrubs
• Weeding and general garden tidying
• Maintaining garden beds and landscaped areas
• Identifying and reporting pest or plant health issues
• Working safely around people, vehicles, and other obstacles
• Ensuring all work meets high visual and environmental standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience in professional gardening or horticulture
• Skilled in planting, mulching, pruning, and weed control
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Friendly, respectful, and able to work around residents and the public
• Reliable transport and a can-do attitude
