About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at Nelson Hospital. This is a permanent position, with flexibility between 0.8 and 1.0 FTE, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to service development and clinical leadership in a supportive, collegial environment.

You will be part of a dynamic team of medical professionals, working in a teaching hospital where you - ll have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and help shape the future of gastroenterology services in the region.

You will bring

- FRACP or equivalent, with vocational registration in New Zealand
- Specialist accreditation in gastroenterology (NZ Gastroenterology Society-recognised)
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Training in General Internal Medicine (preferred)- Ability to work independently in a provincial hospital setting

Your responsibilities will include supporting general medical colleagues, conducting outpatient gastroenterology clinics, and performing endoscopy. A strong interest in service improvement and leadership is highly valued.
