Health New Zealand – Lakes is seeking a Senior Medical Officer with a passion for Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine. This position is based at Rotorua Hospital and would join a Lakes wide team of 10+ Physicians.
Rotorua Hospital is a District General Hospital in one of the most spectacular regions of New Zealand – native bush, beautiful lakes and rivers, unique geothermal landscapes and some of the best mountain biking and walking/running trails in NZ. Rotorua is also the perfect place to explore all that the North Island has to offer - it is only an hour from the spectacular east coast beaches, and an hour from stunning Lake Taupō with Mount Ruapehu offering skiing, tramping, fishing and water sports.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist to join our General Medicine team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive gastroenterological services, including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, to our diverse patient population. This role offers the chance to work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.

· hold or be eligible for Specialist (Vocational) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand - click here for the MCNZ Registration Self-Assessment Tool
· provide an up to date CV, Cover Letter and 3 written references either on an RP6 form
