Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality

We are looking for an influential and values-led Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) to take a senior leadership role in shaping and delivering a modern, integrated HSEQ function across a diverse and complex operation.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board and Senior Leadership Team, this critical role will see you:

• Drive the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the HSEQ function
• Champion business process maturity and implementation for HSEQ systems and processes using a collaborative change management approach
• Promote a proactive and learning focused culture across all levels of the organisation
• Coach and empower your team to deliver change well, change that reflects business needs affects accountability and ownership for HSEQ throughout the business
• Champion environmental guardianship and corporate sustainability initiatives
• Support commercial success through proactive risk management, compliance, and client engagement

What we are Looking For
You will bring:

• Proven senior leadership experience in HSEQ across complex, multi-site or infrastructure-related environments
• Strong capability in strategy execution, cultural change and coaching leadership teams
• A values-led approach with a genuine commitment to excellence in executing business process improvement and associated management of change
• Experience with ISO management systems, digital reporting tools
• The ability to operate confidently at a senior level
• A collaborative style with the ability to lead teams, uplift capability and engage widely across operations, clients, regulators and community stakeholders  

Experience in the civil infrastructure, three waters, or asset maintenance sectors would be an advantage, as would knowledge of sustainability reporting and ESG governance.
