About the role
Reporting to the Health and Safety Business Partner, the purpose of this position is to provide practical administrative support to the Business Partner and the wider team. With a strong admin component, you be required to arrange training, update compliance records and collate and generate reports. You will work closely with frontline staff in production, building solid relationships and influencing behaviour.
  
In this role, you are required to visit the 2 other processing sites once a week, maintaining visibility and support. Sites are located in Auckland and the Waikato.
  
Duties
  • Conduct investigations on lower risk incidents and close out the process
  • Review health and safety documentation
  • Conduct regular safety walks
  • Attend and document HS Committee meetings and toolbox talks  
Skills and experience
You will need well-developed people skills with the strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing, able to use your initiative, a proactive and solution focused approach, strong ability with building connections and influencing others.  
  • Relevant tertiary Health and Safety qualification
  • Experience in manufacturing highly desirable
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work in an environment where animals are processed for food purposes
  • Full, clean NZ Drivers licence
