About the role
You’ll be a key part of the health and safety team working predominantly on site at a state-of-the-art plant currently under construction. The focus is on promoting safety, not policing it. You’ll work alongside contractors and employees - building relationships, embedding safe practices and supporting process safety systems like Permit to Work and Lock Out/Tag Out. Initially, this is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Duties
- Deliver and support Permit to Work, LOTO and site safety systems
- Conduct audits, inspections and guide safe work practices
- Coach teams, run inductions and promote a safety-first mindset
- Facilitate incident investigations and emergency response training
Skills and experience
- NZ Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety (Level 4) or equivalent
- NZISM Practitioner Accreditation (or working towards)
- Solid experience with LOTO and Permit to Work systems
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and build cross-site relationships
