This world-class facility, set to become an architectural and cultural icon in the heart of Auckland, is looking for a passionate and experienced Health & Safety Partner to lead the development and implementation of its safety culture and systems.

About the Role
As Health & Safety Partner, you will be instrumental in developing the venue’s Health and Safety Management System, while embedding strong safety practices across operations, events and high-risk activities. You’ll collaborate with operational teams, contractors and senior leaders to ensure a best-practice approach that not only meets compliance but enhances performance and wellbeing.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Designing and implementing health and safety systems and emergency planning frameworks
  • Leading risk assessments and guiding safe operations for complex, large-scale events
  • Coaching and mentoring internal Health & Safety Ambassadors
  • Partnering with teams and external stakeholders to drive a strong safety culture
  • Investigating incidents and embedding continuous improvement  
About You
We’re seeking someone who brings a balance of operational experience and strategic insight, with the confidence to work independently while building strong partnerships.  
  
You will ideally bring:
  • Strong experience in safety management or frontline safety operations
  • A strong background in event or venue-related health and safety
  • Solid knowledge of New Zealand or Australian H&S regulations
  • A proven ability to influence, coach and work across multidisciplinary teams
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in health and safety
