About the Role

Our Health Care Assistants support the healthcare teams and service activities in wards/units ensuring service delivery is always maintained.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Elective Surgery Centre (ESC) opened in July 2013. We are a stand-alone facility situated in the heart of North Shore Hospital Campus, and we are dedicated solely to prove uninterrupted elective surgical procedures (non-emergency) for our growing population. We offer a vibrant and supportive environment where you can really make the difference. Making use of the collaborative model, you will be working closely with our Registered Nurses to provide excellent care to the patients in our care.

About you

As a Healthcare Assistant the following are required:

  • A Minimum of NZQA Level 3 National Certificate or similar
  • Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
  • Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant
  • Strong command in English
  • Excellent customer service practises
