About the Role

Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity? Do you love variety at work? Are you interested in working in a Critical Care environment.

This HCA role is to assist the Registered Nurses in delivering a high standard of nursing care to patients in the Critical Care unit. This position involves working under the direction of our nursing team who are committed to delivering comprehensive, quality care to patients.

This role varies from working with a wide range of patient conditions to the cleaning and setting up of high-tech equipment. The unit is currently expanding, and you will be joining the team during a time of change and team growth. We will offer a variety of educational opportunities, training and support.

These are permanent positions with a variety of hours available.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The ICU/CCU unit is a busy, acute in-patient unit comprising a clinical team of Medical, Nursing and Allied Health professionals. We provide acute Intensive Care, High Dependency and Coronary Care for up to 20 patients. We are located on the 3rd floor of Tauranga Hospital.

About you

Preferred applicants will have a certificate in Health Care Assistance Level 4 (or other relevant qualification) and have current experience working as an HCA in a health care setting or in a related health care service.

  • You will need to be available to work rostered shifts including morning, afternoon and night duties, across all seven days
