About the Role

We have a vacancy for a part time, permanent Health Care Assistant in our busy but friendly Maternity Unit at Hutt Hospital, Lower Hutt.. 

We are family focused and the Health Care Assistants are an essential part of our maternity team. Duties include cleaning, housekeeping, clinical administration, hospitality and other tasks which are vital to the smooth running of the maternity service and the provision of excellent care to the pregnant people, babies and whanau in our region. The salary for this role is MECA Step  $60,100 to $70,358 dependent on experience.

This role is located at the Hutt Hospital, Maternity In-patient areas i.e. birthing suite and the Antenatal/Postnatal ward. At the Hutt, we are a busy, friendly unit with some exciting things happening in the future, including a large scale refurbishment of our unit. On average we provide primary and secondary maternity care to around 1800 pregnant people and their whānau a year and we are committed to providing high quality care to our community. Our unit functions much like an extended family, with work-life balance being extremely important.
