About the Role
Hutt Hospital has an eight theatre suite. We are a dynamic and innovative provider of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery involving multi-disciplinary teams; along with services for obstetrics and gynaecological, ENT, general, orthopaedics, dental, maxillofacial, and acute services. The salary range for this role is MECA Step 1 - Step 5, $60,100.00 - $70,358.00 pro rata.
We are looking for an HCA within the Operating Theatre. You will become a part of a close-knit team and support the patient - s throughout their perioperative journey.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Health Care Assistant (HCA) is a member of the Perioperative Department team appointed to support and work alongside staff and will assist with delegated patient care, cleaning and undertake housekeeping, clerical functions and assisting with stores. The HCA may also be required to undertake a specific area of responsibility, as assigned by their manager. This is a fast-paced, quality driven, patient focused environment, with a dynamic and supportive team.
HCA - s are well supported by a strong leadership team and dedicated nurse educators.
About you
- A high level of professionalism and communication
- Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work on a rostered and rotating basis with an on-call service for overnight cover
- Positive - Can do - attitude
- Preference given to candidates with Level 3 Health & Wellbeing Certification
