Ara Poutama Aotearoa Health Services is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed individual who is capable of working in a wide range of Health Care activities. This position is based at Spring Hill Corrections Facility for prisoners who have ongoing complex health and/or disability needs. Within a Primary health care setting, administering medication, triaging patients, assisting in health care delivery to patients, all under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
This is an opportunity for a Health Care Assistant with experience in health care to join a high-performing health led team who are dedicated and committed to developing and embedding a Kaupapa Maori based model of care into the heart of health services delivery.
He kōrero mōu | About you
To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience working with patients who have complex health and /or disability needs. A Level 3 Health Care Assistant certified qualification along with the ability to work collaboratively and under instruction. A non-judgemental approach and be eligible to work in New Zealand.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary steps for this position are step 1 $50,719, step 2 $56,610 & step 3 $59,670. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role. Please note our Collective agreement is currently under negotiation to increase.

Hōkai Rangi, our over-arching strategic direction, places the focus on health at the heart of our business. Building our frameworks from a Mātauranga Māori basis is our focus to drive and support equity for Māori, which in turn will contribute to achieving our outcomes of reducing reoffending.
