- We are seeking an experienced health care assistant who will embrace the challenge of working within a rural emergency department.

About the role:
This role will be predominantly working in the Emergency Department at Tokoroa Hospital. In line with our workforce plan we are developing skilled staff that can cover many areas within the team.

About the Service
Tokoroa Hospital is part of the Waikato DHB and is located centrally in the North Island of New Zealand. Tokoroa boasts a natural beauty of pine trees, forestry, and rolling green hills of dairy farming. Rotorua, Taupo, Ruapehu skifields, and Tauranga beaches are all easily accessible within a 1 - 1 ½ hour drive. Here you can access some of the most exhilarating outdoor activities ranging from lake, river and mountain activities, snow skiing, hunting, trout fishing, glow worm caves and rafting.
Tokoroa Hospital has a 17 bed inpatient unit, a busy emergency department seeing approximately 13,500 presentations per year, a four bed primary birthing unit, outpatients department serviced by visiting specialists and a number of community services. GP practices and other health providers are co-located on the site.
About you
Required skills and experience:
- NZ work visa & current Annual Practicing Certificate;
- Experience working as a Health Care Assistant
