About the Role

As a Casual Care Associate in the Maternity Unit, you’ll support our midwifery and nursing team in providing high-quality care to wāhine and pēpi during their postnatal stay. You will assist with essential care tasks such as patient comfort, hygiene, breastfeeding support, and general ward duties that contribute to a smooth and positive experience for our families.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in maternity care within a supportive and nurturing environment. No two days are the same, and your contribution will be valued every step of the way.

About you

As a Care Associate, you will ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or maternity support role (or a strong interest in women’s health).
  • A compassionate and respectful approach to care.
  • Ability to work well in a team and take direction from clinical staff.
  • Flexibility to work across a range of shifts.
  • A commitment to culturally safe care, including a willingness to engage with Te Ao Māori.
