- 0.6FTE (24 hours a week), Fixed term till February 2026
- 3 x 8 hour night shifts a week including some weekends

About the Role
We are looking for
energetic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to work alongside a dynamic
multidisciplinary team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit team.
In this role you
will be required to work alongside the nursing staff to maintain a safe and
clean, well-stocked work environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintenance and setting up equipment
- Stock control
- Maintaining a clean and safe Ward environment
- Ensuring that Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are
followed at all times
About the Service
The Neonatal Service at Christchurch Women - s Hospital is an acute service providing secondary/tertiary care to new-born babies born prematurely or with surgical, congenital and medical complications following birth. We are a purpose built 44 bedded unit compromised of 12 intensive care and 32 special care cots with our catchment area covering approximately 20,000 square kilometres of the South Island.
About you
You will require the following skills and experience:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work nights from 1045pm - 715am including weekends
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work autonomously as well as a team member
- Excellent time management skills and a willingness to learn.
- High level of confidentiality and the ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of infection control aspects of cleaning and setting up of equipment - Desirable but not essential
- An understanding of effective stock/supply control practices - Desirable but not essential
