About the Role
We have a full-time role available for a capable pharmacy technician. In this role, you'll provide pharmacy services to patients at our Tauranga Hospital, supporting a large community in a fast-growing city.
Reporting to the Pharmacy Technician Team leader, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including:
- Preparing and dispensing medications
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Compounding non-sterile medications
- Restocking and managing ward medications
- Collaboration with healthcare teams
Our experienced pharmacy team is overseeing a growing service and is ready to support your development in various areas of hospital pharmacy practice. Specialty areas include oncology, clinical trials, mental health, and ward-based technician/pharmacist teams.
About You
The successful applicant will be a team player, with a passion for hospital pharmacy and have excellent communication skills. You will be patient focused and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
Ideally you will have experience working within a Hospital environment, and have an interest in clinical trials. You must have a New Zealand Certificate in Pharmacy (Pharmacy Technician - Advanced) (Level 5).
