HR Business Partner

  • Full Time - Fixed Term - 12 months -Due to Parental Leave

About the Role

The role of HR Business Partner supports the People Partnering Lead through the provision of end-to-end operational HR advice and services, including the delivery and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and processes. The role will be expected to take autonomous accountability for a service/set of services or regions in the delivery of these services.

The HR Business Partner works in partnership with managers and employees in the assigned service to understand the operational aspects and HR needs, to support services in the achievement of its goals and operational requirements e.g. culture and performance development.

Our passionate and highly skilled HR team offers support for approximately 1000 staff working within the South Canterbury district.  We are known for being strongly service oriented, well connected to the business and a friendly and professional HR support service. This position is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to provide cover for one of our team on Parental Leave. 

About You

We invite candidates with sound HR generalist experience, preferably at the business partner /senior advisor level to apply.

  • Can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Has the ability to critically analyse, problem solve, and is confident in their decision making
