HVAC Trade Assistant

Tradestaff has an exciting brand new opportunity for an HVAC Trade Assistant based in Central Dunedin

Normal hours of work for this position will be 7.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with installing, maintaining, and servicing a range of heat pump systems, including high-wall and ducted units.
• Assist in refrigerant pipework, wiring, testing, and commissioning to New Zealand standards.
• Work under the direction of a senior technician and follow instructions 
• Follow all site safety procedures and ensure work complies with relevant NZ regulations.

Requirements:

• Ideally a candidate with minimum 1 - 2 years experience as a trade assistant in either: HVAC, engineering or electrical work 
• Preferably a basic toolkit with some hand and power tools 
• Reliable transport + licence 
• Willingness to learn and strong level of intiative 
• Physically fit and comfortable working in ceiling spaces and on ladders.
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer interaction.
• 2 x references 

Location: Dunedin – applicants must be currently residing in or able to work in the Dunedin area.
