Ko te tīma - About your team
You'll be part of the Digital Projects team within the Digital and Information Services (D&IS) group. We are a cool team of project professionals, including BAs, Project Managers, Testers, and Project Coordinator. As a BA you'll get to work on different initiatives with a variety of people across WorkSafe and our suppliers.
Ō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Digital and Information Services (D&IS) group.
This is an exciting time to join us, as we have an ambitious 3 year plan to continue improving our ICT services.
As Business Analyst your role will involve facilitating the definition of high-quality information services that integrate WorkSafe systems to satisfy business owner needs, from performing business process mapping and gap analysis to defining business requirements and the design of new systems and processes.
The Business Analyst role is a conduit between D&IS and the wider organisation and is an advocate for the business in technology matters. You will engage and work closely with a variety of stakeholders up to ELT level.
Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
- Be responsible for advanced Business Analysis impacting the design of new systems and processes.
- Assess, plan and develop BA approaches for pieces of work.
- Work across D&IS and the business to address identified issues and improvements.
- Develop high-quality user stories that align with business needs and project goals.
- Work within our Project Management frameworks, including Agile.
Ko ngā pukenga ōu - What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in complex Digital environments.
- A tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline e.g. Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong familiarity with agile methodologies and the ability to writ
- e detailed and effective user stories.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to relate on all levels through the organisation.
- Demonstrated technical competence and business acumen.

Awhe utu - Salary range
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $92,849 to $122, 424, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $97,777 to $107,637. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
