Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure& Cloud Architect to lead the design of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that it supports the stable and efficient operation of all IT assets. 

The Infrastructure & Cloud Architect is responsible for balancing current and future needs for availability, performance, and capacity, while ensuring that the infrastructure aligns with business requirements and supports the organisation’s strategic goals. 

Day to day you'll be:

  • Define and maintain the organisation’s technology architecture, ensuring it supports the deployment of business, data, and application services.
  • Ensure infrastructure components, including hardware, middleware, networks, and communications, are aligned with organisational standards and strategic objectives.
  • Provide technical governance over architecture development, ensuring adherence to security policies, standards, and practices.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of cloud and on-premise network and infrastructure solutions, ensuring they meet organisational needs for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design new service requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical capabilities.
  • Provide architectural oversight throughout the planning process, from concept to implementation and post-deployment, with a focus on performance, availability, and capacity.
Experience and skills required:
  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in solution architecture, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of relevant frameworks and best practices in infrastructure management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor other IT professionals in infrastructure management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
