Job Description

We are looking for a technically savvy Intermediate Technician with at least 2 years' experience to join our team in Tauranga. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get stuck into a career working outdoors with geotechnical and environmental monitoring equipment!

The role will often take you to remote and interesting locations to carry out fieldwork alongside our other team members. 

Duties include: 

  • Assembling, configuring, and deploying telemetry equipment and sensors 
  • Monitoring field instruments, processing of data and reporting 
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with electronic equipment and monitoring hardware 
  • Instrument data integration with our software 
  • Supporting existing projects and customers through periodic field maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure continuity of high-quality service 

What You'll Bring: 

  • A full New Zealand driver's license as some travel will be required 
  • 2 years+ relevant work experience 
  • Familiar with geotechnical and environmental monitoring equipment 
  • An understanding of electrical concepts and electronic hardware 
  • Able to troubleshoot, problem solve and provide solutions 
  • Able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Be competent on a computer, as aspects of this role involve working on our telemetry platform 
  • An interest in working outdoors 
  • Ability to lift 20kg+ regularly 
  • Able to work independently as well be a team player
