About the Role

The Integration Lead will actively support and contribute to the achievement of the vision for RMO support – “to support the efficient delivery of a well, well trained medical workforce for today and into the future”.

The Integration Lead will oversee the transition to a unified employment model for RMOs.  This initiative will improve operational efficiency, enhance RMOs experience, and align with organisational strategic goals and workforce plan.

This role holds a high degree of risk, both reputational and operational, and requires strong technical and relationship management experience in the area of RMOs, and the health system

The role of the Integration Lead is to be the one stop shop for all stakeholders who are working on the integration of RMOs into Health New Zealand I Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) employment.  This role will be the RDSS function that is responsible for the implementation of key actions as outlined in the New Zealand Health Workforce Plan that focusses on smoothing employment pathways and reduce attrition.

About you

You have a solid understanding of the Resident Doctor or broader medical workforce landscape, including the intricacies of training, employment settings, and collective agreements. This background equips you to lead conversations that are both technically sound and grounded in operational realities.

With significant experience managing programmes and multiple workstreams, you're comfortable balancing competing demands without losing sight of delivery, quality, or stakeholder alignment. You thrive in fast-moving environments where clarity, coordination, and impact matter most.
