Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Carpenter/Joiner to work across a variety of residential and light commercial projects. You’ll be working on-site and in the workshop, contributing to the delivery of custom joinery, fit-outs, and general carpentry work.
Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and install custom joinery and cabinetry

General framing, fix-outs, door hanging, skirting and architraves

Read and interpret drawings and plans

Measure and cut materials with precision

Work independently or as part of a small team

Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other trades where needed
Skills & Experience
-
Trade qualification in Carpentry or Joinery

Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred

Strong understanding of tools, machinery and safety procedures

Ability to read and work from technical drawings

Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
-
White Card (Construction Induction)

Manual driver’s licence and own transport

Own tools preferred (but not essential for the right candidate)
Pay conditions
Min $25.00 per hour to a maximum of $30 per hour
Hours of work
Minimum 30 hours of work is guaranteed
Location
You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago and Southland.
