Judges' Clerk
Fixed Term Fulltime

Te Haeata/The Opportunity
This is a 2-3 year fixed-term internship for motivated, enthusiastic law professionals to develop an intricate and first-hand view of the judicial system. You will provide high-quality research and directly support the District Court Judges. If you have an LLB with a strong academic record, excellent written communication, research skills and good computer literacy this could be the opportunity for you.
You will provide high-quality research to resident and visiting District Court Judges in the Southern region. You will fulfil that responsibility by supplying efficient and accurate legal support on any topic required.
We are ideally looking for someone to start immediately.

- enjoys working independently towards deadlines,
- is self-motivated to manage workloads and maintain confidentiality, and
- who understands and considers the practicalities of outcomes as well as their legality.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The present starting salary of judges' clerks on appointment at all levels is $67,845 pa, progressing in six-monthly increments to $82,135 per annum for the last six months of their contract.
