Due to an internal secondment we have an opportunity for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Coordination team to 19 December 2025.

The Coordination team works collaboratively with Programme and Project Managers to provide professional programme and project coordination services to the Ministry, ensuring the successful delivery of these projects.

Our ideal candidate will be a pro-active member of the team, enabling others and helping to ensure that everything runs smoothly so that project and programme teams are able to deliver.   You will enjoy working in a fast-paced and agile environment and have the ability to manage competing deadlines. 

Our senior members of the team will provide coaching and mentoring to ensure you have the right support to thrive in the role.

Our ideal candidate will bring:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high value coordination services to projects and supporting a Project Manager day to day, ideally in a central government setting.
  • Certification in or currently studying towards CaPM or a similar project/programme qualification
  • High level of technical skills in project and collaboration tools e.g. Planview, Mural, CRM. 
  • Exceptional visual presentation skills to enable decision-makers. 
  • Able to operate across a business group's work programme in collaboration with other programme and project based roles.
  • Cultural capability in or a willingness to incorporate te ao Māori into your everyday mahi

Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range

Salary range for this role is $69,248 to $83,720 pa.  Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
