We currently have a fantastic opportunity for multiple Kaitohutohu - Māori Advisory Consultants to join us in Strategic Consulting.
These roles will have a primary focus on Tikanga Māori and Te Ao Māori. The main purpose of the role is to support Tonkin + Taylor to help uplift mana Māori in all the work that we do for our clients, our organisation and our communities. The role will help us to better deliver and facilitate work in important kaupapa such as infrastructure, water resource management, planning and environmental matters with iwi across the motu, and work with our internal teams to integrate Te Āo Māori into our projects and the way we work every day. It will also lead our work in uplifting awareness and competency in te reo Māori and tikanga Māori across T+T's people, and help represent T+T Group appropriately at hui in te Ao Māori, as well as providing thought leadership within and outside of T+T.
Nā tōu rourou | What you'll bring
- Experience in a similar or related position in Iwi Māori, Central or Local Government organisation, or in the Private Sector.
- Expertise in Te Reo Māori, tikanga Māori and Mātauranga Māori, and the ability to impart knowledge and guidance in these areas to colleagues and project partners.
- Ability to identify and capitalise on emerging business development opportunities.
- A strong knowledge of the New Zealand consulting market with demonstrated ability to develop and sustain long term relationships.
- Demonstrated track record of partnering with Iwi Māori
