We are looking for a senior, experienced OD practitioner to join our Culture & Capability team.
The Culture & Capability team is playing a leading role in the Ministry's ongoing transformation. The Senior Advisor – C&C will join a team of established professionals and work collaboratively across the team to develop and implement strategies to lift organisational and individual performance, recognising the importance of the intersection between culture, capability, employee experience, and organisational achievement. A focus of the team is to build the and implement frameworks that drive high performance, set and maintain a healthy and sustainable culture, support leaders and create value for our kaimahi, all in service of supporting the Ministry to achieve its goals.
You will not only be a trusted advisor providing strategic advice across the spectrum of organisational development, you will also be an excellent communicator and influencer for change. As part of a small team that achieves a lot, you will be happy to roll up your sleeves and smart and efficient about how you get things done, leveraging technology and bringing a pragmatic mindset
You will also be skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships across the business and quickly building credibility with managers and our kaimahi.

- Solid experience leading projects across organisational development, culture, leadership and change
- A proven understanding of culture, employee experience and engagement
- Understanding of learning and development best practice, managing talent and succession
- A curious mind, pragmatic and ‘real-world' approach, and collaborative nature
- Credibility and influence at all levels
- Experience implementing indigenous kaimahi experience processes / frameworks would be an advantage for this role
- Commitment to developing culturally safe and respectful practices that have regard to Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
This role is a fixed term position in response to increased demand within our high priority work programmes. We are surging in people and resources in response to these priorities.
Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is $108,976 to $132,277 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
