We are looking for a strategic leader with a proven track record in delivering large-scale systems change, particularly in the people and finance systems space. You will understand the complexities of payroll and HRIS implementation, and you're passionate about designing systems that enhance the employee journey.
Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
We're seeking a seasoned Programme Manager to lead the delivery of our transformative People Systems Suite Project. This strategic initiative will modernise and integrate our core people systems—including Payroll, HRIS, and their connection to our Financial Management Systems—while enhancing the employee experience across the organisation.
You'll be responsible for driving the programme from planning through to execution, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, stakeholder needs, and technical requirements. This is a high-impact role that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep expertise in systems change.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the People Systems Suite Project.
- Oversee the integration of payroll, HRIS, and financial systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement a seamless employee experience.
- Manage programme governance, risk, and reporting.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful change adoption.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.

- Significant experience leading complex programmes involving payroll, HRIS, and financial systems integration.
- Strong understanding of employee experience design in the context of systems transformation.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
- Experience working in a structured programme environment with governance and reporting frameworks.
- Ability to work on-site in our Wellington office.
Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is $140,222 to $170,467 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
