Job Description
We are looking for a laboratory technician at a beginner or intermediate level to join our team in Onehunga. This fulltime permanent role is a great opportunity for someone straight out of university or looking to kickstart or grow their CMT laboratory testing career.
This is an opportunity to join a leading specialist geotechnical testing company with a broad scope of testing. The work will be hands-on and physical and therefore requires a reasonable degree of physical capability.

- Conducting geotechnical laboratory tests on soil, rock, aggregate, and concrete samples.
- Entering, processing, and reporting data accurately.
- Collaborating with clients to ensure high-quality project outcomes
- Performing all work in accordance with our IANZ accreditation and project management system
Nā tōu rourou | What you'll bring
- Ideally you will have a degree or diploma in Geography, Geology, Earth Sciences, Physical Science, or similar.
- A full, clean NZ driver's licence
- Physically capable to handle and test samples up to 25 kg
- Computer literate, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
- Attention to detail and quality
- Hardworking, self-motivated and a positive attitude
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and collaborate with team members
- Excellent communication skills and the flexibility to adapt quickly to change
- Safety conscious
- Customer focussed
- Conscientious, taking ownership of deliverables on time and to budget
