About the Role
We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our Prevention team as Lead Distribution.
The primary purpose of this role is to perform the day-to-day vaccine distribution activities and processes as a key part of Prevention's Logistics and Distribution team.
This includes managing all day-to-day delivery interactions with warehouses and couriers; managing the end-to-end vaccine order process for all vaccines distributed by Health New Zealand. Ensuring the Inventory Management System database is up to date and accurate and supporting new Immunisation Providers to be onboarded to the Inventory Management System.

About you
You're able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with people at all levels within the public and private sectors, related industry and community interest groups and the wider national and international communities. You have proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Tertiary qualification in a health or relevant field and/or equivalent experience
- Experience in using Inventory Management systems (or equivalent digital systems) for day-to-day distribution activities
- Experience in operational planning and implementation across logistics and distribution functions is required
- Significant experience in stakeholder / customer management and communication and logistics management
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
- Previous experience in applying critical thinking and using sound judgement to problem solve and develop options
- Experience of managing risk and the ability to make clear decisions on when to report upwards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships
