Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to provide practical support within a general practice firm, with a focus on conveyancing and property transactions. The position requires a confident legal secretary, familiar with legal procedures and documentation. You'll work closely with solicitors and legal executives, taking ownership of day-to-day administrative tasks and ensuring property files and transactions are managed smoothly and accurately from start to finish.
In this role, you'll:
- Prepare and manage documentation for conveyancing matters, including engagement and reporting letters
- Liaise with clients, agents, banks, and other parties to coordinate property transactions
- Handle Landonline transactions and prepare e-dealings for settlement
- Draft invoices, settlement statements, and related financial documentation
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and support file and document management
- Conduct title searches and assist with AML compliance documentation
- Support file closing and provide general administrative assistance across legal matters
You’re an experienced legal secretary who excels both independently and as part of a team. With a strong focus on client service and attention to detail, you build lasting relationships and deliver practical legal solutions
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
- Experience as a legal secretary in a general practice law firm.
- Strong knowledge of conveyancing processes and Landonline
- Knowledge and understanding of the settlement process; experience with residential conveyancing is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple files efficiently.

- Salary: $68,000-$85,000
