About the Role:

Are you a seasoned insurance professional with a passion for leadership and operational excellence? We’re seeking a dynamic Life & Health Manager to lead a high-performing team in Canterbury, driving client satisfaction, business growth, and strategic development.
This is a pivotal leadership position combining client relationship management, team leadership, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of life and health insurance professionals
  • Drive financial performance and achieve revenue targets
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance
  • Enhance client retention through exceptional portfolio management
  • Contribute to national sales strategy and business development
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery
  • Support claims management and compliance processes
  • Implement process improvements and technology integration

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on life and health
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and client portfolios
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, insurance platforms (e.g., Xplan), and Microsoft 365
  • NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) required
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or financial services desirable
