Machine Assistant

Are you a natural tinkerer of machines and anything that has a motor? Do you have a brain that likes to think through the process of how things work? Are you someone who is dependable, strong, and organised?

🙋‍♀️ We think you will be perfect for our latest Machine Assistant role located at our client's industrial manufacturing warehouse in Hamilton.

You will be:

• Loading very heavy products onto a machine conveyor belt
• Making sure the manufacturing machinery is working correctly and troubleshooting any problems
• Maintaining, operating and identifying any potential malfunctions and risk operating the Factory machinery
• Working in a massive warehouse environment on your feet all day on concrete in various temperatures. (cold in winter/ Hot in summer)

While experience operating a machine is definitely a bonus – it’s the attitude and mindset we are keen to find. Training will be provided, so you don’t have to know how to do everything you just need to be mathematically minded and willing to show up and learn on the job.

• $24+ per hour, starting rate pending experience
• Monday to Friday role
• Variety of shift start times available
• Based in Hamilton
• Some permanent positions available now, and/or others that may lead to a permanent opportunity in the future

One last thing, you’ll need to pass a pre-employment drug test and background criminal check, and already be legal to work in New Zealand.
