Engineering Machinist
Location: Porirua

About the role:
We’re looking for a skilled Engineering Machinist to join our team in Porirua. You’ll be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, cutting and shaping materials, and assembling high-quality metal components. You’ll work with precision, using a range of tools and machinery—including CAD and CNC systems—to manufacture and repair equipment to specification.
Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
• Measure and mark materials for cutting and shaping.
• Operate machines to cut, form, and modify metal components.
• Weld parts together and test finished products for quality.
• Design tools and components using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Clean, maintain, and repair machinery as needed.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience operating specialised tools and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with CAD software and CNC machines.
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with various metals and materials.
• Basic calculation and measurement skills.
