Are you a skilled welder/fabricator who thrives in a practical, hands-on role? Do you love the idea of working with a wide variety of metals, processes, and heavy-duty equipment? This could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

A well-established, highly respected industry leader is on the lookout for a talented and motivated individual to join their close-knit team. With decades of proven success and a strong commitment to their people, this company combines scale and capability with a down-to-earth, family-oriented culture. You'll be part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and gets stuck into meaningful, high impact work every day.

About the position:
This is a varied and physical welding/fabrication role focused on maintaining and repairing the essential machinery and infrastructure that keeps our operation moving. No two days will be the same — you’ll work with:
  • Mild and galvanised steel (bins, containers, fencing, etc.)
  • Occasional stainless and aluminium (specialised parts)
  • MIG and Stick welding as primary methods
You’ll fabricate, problem-solve, repair, and maintain a range of equipment — from heavy plant to yard infrastructure — helping ensure smooth and safe operations across the board.

What will you be doing
  • Welding and fabricating steel and aluminium components and site equipment
  • Conducting mechanical repairs on a wide variety of machinery
  • Maintaining workshop organisation, tools, and consumables
  • Supporting operations with setups, maintenance, and occasional machine use
  • Championing health and safety in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Mentoring others in welding best practices as needed
What you will need
  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication (3+ years ideally)
  • A welding ticket (preferred)
  • Strong MIG, Stick welding skills
  • Mechanically minded and physically fit
  • Able to travel + Current full driver’s licence
  • NZ resident/citizen / full work rights
  • A team player with a solid work ethic and a proactive mindset
Why you will love it:
  • Incredible variety: you won’t be stuck doing the same job day in, day out
  • True care for people: the team looks out for each other like family
  • Long-term stability:  work with a company that’s going from strength to strength
  • Growth opportunities: the company encourages you to develop your skills and advance your career
If you’re the kind of person who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, getting the job done right, and being appreciated for it – I would love to hear from you.
