We’re currently seeking a highly organised and hands-on Maintenance Operator to lead the planning and coordination of all maintenance activities at a large-scale industrial site in Auckland. This is a supervisory-level role ideal for someone with a trade background, experience in preventative maintenance, and a strong focus on continuous improvement and safety.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating all preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across the site
- Supporting long- and short-term maintenance planning and minor capital works
- Ensuring maintenance is aligned with production schedules and operational needs
- Monitoring and managing maintenance tasks using a CMMS (preferably MEX)
- Working closely with operations and contractors to ensure safe and efficient outcomes
- Leading maintenance documentation, safety risk assessments, and compliance reporting
- Trade certification or engineering qualification in mechanical, electrical, or similar field
- Strong maintenance planning experience, ideally in manufacturing or heavy industry
- Experience with CMMS systems (MEX preferred) and strong general IT capability
- Valid forklift licence, EWP licence, and confined space training preferred
- Proven ability to lead safety-first practices and collaborate across teams
- Strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and a proactive approach
- Great hourly rate with full-time hours
