Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role

We have a newly created Manager, Legal Operations opportunity available within our Legal, Privacy & Ethics team. This is a dynamic and varied role with leadership responsibility and plenty of opportunity to have a meaningful impact.

As the Manager, Legal Operations, you'll be a key senior leader working closely with and reporting to the General Counsel & Head of Legal, Privacy & Ethics. You'll partner with your Manager peers in the Legal, Privacy & Ethics team to understand priorities and be a connection point to the business while also contributing to the collective leadership of the function.

Taking a strategic view of the Legal, Privacy & Ethics function as a centre of excellence and using your extensive business experience, you'll discover and drive improvements that lift, streamline and optimise operational performance and professional services delivery, ensuring the continued success of the mahi achieved to date.

The base salary range for this role is $138,301 - $195,248 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary.

This is a permanent, Wellington based role.

We're looking for:

  • An experienced people leader who is highly organised, passionate about identifying better ways of working, always looking for efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement and who has a drive for embedding positive change.
  • You'll have a combination of legal or professional services knowledge, technological savvy, operational expertise, change management experience and strong leadership skills combined with strong pragmatism and the ability to simplify complexity.
  • You'll have strategic, systems thinking, planning and implementation skills and you'll bring to the team expertise and advice that will continue to enhance operations and service delivery.
  • Strong initiative, prioritisation ability and excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills at all levels including Enterprise Leader, are essential.
