About the Role

The Manager Network & Communications operates at national leadership level, overseeing the technical and operational delivery of network and communications services. Reporting to the Group Manager, the role leads regional Practice Leads and their teams to ensure a cohesive, secure, and adaptable network environment. It provides strategic and technical direction to ensure platforms meet architectural, performance, and cost-efficiency standards. Working closely with internal teams, vendors, and partners, the Manager drives the delivery of scalable solutions that support digital transformation and future business needs. In addition, this role serves as a senior escalation point for regional teams, providing guidance and decision-making support when critical issues arise. It requires strong political insight and the ability to operate with influence at senior stakeholder levels across the organisation and external partnerships. The role also includes responsibility for maturing the national operating model, building workforce capability, and leading initiatives to uplift technical and leadership capacity across the function.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Manager Network & Communications sits within the Network & Communications team, part of the Digital Operations function under the wider Digital Services group. Reporting to the Group Manager Network & Communications, this team is responsible for delivering fast, reliable, and secure communication channels across corporate and healthcare facilities. Their work enables seamless voice and data exchange, supports collaboration, and underpins national standardisation efforts to ensure consistent and equitable digital access across the organisation. The team plays a vital role in maintaining the digital infrastructure that supports efficient, connected healthcare services.

About you

As an experienced network or technology leader, you will bring a deep understanding of IT service management and a commitment to continuous improvement. You are skilled at engaging with executive stakeholders, driving service enhancements, and leading high-performing teams across multiple disciplines. You will also have the following skills and experience to support your success in the role:

  • Experienced ICT/Technology leader with a strong track record in managing large, complex IT environments (e.g. health, telecom, utilities).
  • 10+ years in IT service management, with deep knowledge of frameworks like ITIL, COBIT, and TOGAF across diverse settings.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in IT, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • You will bring a strategic mindset and proven capability in developing and executing workforce strategies, uplifting team maturity, and evolving the operating model to support scalable, resilient service delivery across a national footprint.
