Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
Our Property team work to provide buildings and work environments at ACC that are fit for purpose, modern and flexible, safe and secure, efficient to operate, compliant, pleasant to work in/visit that support our people and visitors.
As our newly created Manager, Property Facilities Management, reporting to the Head of Property, you'll be overseeing facilities management for a significant property portfolio within a large and dynamic environment. With over 4000 employees in over 30 locations nationwide, this is a rewarding opportunity not to be missed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a team that is dedicated to efficiently and effectively managing ACCs nationwide property facilities and vehicle fleet along with the Justice Centre reception and mailroom operations.
- Manage the external Facilities Management provider, ensuring key supplier relationships are well managed and critical relationships are maintained with high levels of customer service.
- Facilitating optimal use of property assets and overseeing the presentation of the property portfolio.
- Developing a planned preventative maintenance program for the property portfolio and overseeing the day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance of all sites and facilities.
- Strategic development and delivery.
- Engaging with Enterprise leaders and other key stakeholders across ACC and externally and providing technical advice and solutions.
- Demonstrating commitment to Huakina Te Rā through embedding our Ngā Pae Ārahi principles, and actively leading/working on mahi that moves ACC towards achieving the Whāinga Matua | goals of our enterprise strategy.
This is a permanent role, based in Wellington.
The base salary range is $117,787-$166,288 with appointment within the range depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary.

Mōu | About you
You will have comprehensive Facilities Management knowledge and experience in managing a large commercial property portfolio within a corporate or government environment. You will bring a positive approach along with excellent interpersonal, relationship building, networking and stakeholder management skills. You'll have leadership experience, a natural curiosity for identifying better ways of working and the ability to drive high performance in a collaborative environment.
We'll be looking for:
- A tertiary qualification in Facilities Management or a relevant related discipline.
- Proven Facilities Management people leadership experience.
- A strong grasp of the risk, legal and financial aspects of property.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Sound understanding of, or a willingness to develop knowledge of, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ability to integrate Te Tiriti o Waitangi into the design of policies, systems, and processes in a property context.
