Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We're looking for a Manager Revenue Services & Projects to lead Financial Operations input into NZTA Waka Kotahi's business projects and digital services. In this role, you'll provide expert advice, manage a high-performing team, and ensure financial systems and customer payment services are secure, efficient, and future-ready.
You will:
- Guide the development and implementation of financial operating systems
- Contribute to financial input into business projects and organisational payment strategy
- Ensure effective 24/7 support for financial operations and customer services
- Monitor and manage fraud risks and mitigation strategies
- Represent Financial Operations in project governance and cross-functional collaboration
- Coach and develop a team of analysts to deliver high-impact outcomes

Ko koe tēnei | About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in financial operations within large, complex organisations
- Proven senior leadership and team management experience
- Strong financial management and system implementation skills
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Postgraduate qualification in Technology, Banking, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent experience)
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public service.

You'll be part of the Te Ama - Commercial and Corporate group, within the Financial Operations team. The Revenue Services & Projects team provides expert financial advice and analysis to support NZTA's strategic initiatives and digital payment services. We manage financial systems processing over $5.4bn in annual revenue and 14.2 million transactions.
