Marine Supervisor Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Marine Supervisor with a with minimum Master Class 4 / MED 2 Certificate. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in marine operations and possess core skills in managing reef landings, supervising the movement of marine-related equipment, and handling fleet and mechanical issues.
Reporting to the marine superintendent, your key responsibilities in this position will include:
- Provide operational supervision and support to crews and vessels operating in pacific region
- Support the marine superintendent to oversee operational planning and implementation.
- Ensuring operational readiness and compliance of our vessels.
- Conduct audits and surveys to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Minimum Master Class 4 and MED 2 certifications. STCW – COST.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in marine operations.
- Core Skills: Proficiency in reef landings, equipment management, and marine operations.
- Desirable: GMDSS
- Medical Requirements: AMSA Medical or equivalent in New Zealand.
Work Schedule:
FIFO Schedule: The role involves a FIFO schedule of 4 weeks on site followed by 2 weeks off. Travel to and from work site could take up to 3 days, this is fully paid but is not included in your 'on roster'. After the 'induction period' you can change to 4 weeks on 4 weeks off.
Camp style / compound accommodation, you will have your own space though unlikely to be airconditioned and all food and beveragess are cooked and provided by the chefs.
Travel will likely include long hours on open water ships/boats/barges so if you struggle with sea sickness this will not be a good job for you.
