Our client is a New Zealand-based company offering expert mechanical services, specializing in the installation, maintenance, and repair of systems for industrial and commercial sectors across the country. 
  
At present, we are looking for a reliable Mechanical Fitter who can work on a rotating shift schedule (overtime offered), can work from heights if required, is industrially and mechanically minded with a willingness to do on-call work, possesses a can-do attitude and demonstrates a high level of spoken and understanding of English. 
  
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include: 

• Repair & Maintain Mechanical Plants 
• Diagnose & Fix Breakdowns On-site 
• Test & Certify Machinery 
• Operate Machinery As Needed 

The successful candidate must hold a Class 1 driver’s license and a minimum of a Level 4 National Certificate in Engineering in welding, fitter/turner, toolmaking, or maintenance. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check if required. While prior experience in rigging with a forklift license is preferred, the role is open to all NZ citizens, residents, or those with a valid open work visa.
