About the Role
As a Medical and Mechanical Fitter, you will maintain facility services across the site and respond to after hours emergencies. You will be confident with operating machinery and be prepared to work hard whilst unsupervised.
Be responsible for the maintenance, repair, testing and installation of all medical and trade related plant, equipment services and facilities within the department - s area of responsibility.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday, with an on-call roster for call-outs and standby. It is based in Blenheim and you may need to work at other sites across the district.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Facilities team consists of supportive management across the District and extensive Knowledge and support of fellow trades people based in Wairau or Nelson.

About you
As a Medical and Mechanical Fitter, you will:
- Be a trade qualified fitter with experience in heating, cooling and mechanical experience,
- Have a background in commercial and industrial automation and controls,
- Have knowledge of medical device maintenance, repair and installation,
- Excellent communication to cooperate with management, staff and customers,
- Be a person of integrity and be trustworthy,
- Be self motivated in order to work unsupervised.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
