About the Role
We have a permanent full-time position available with 1 FTE, involving the full range of shifts including weekends and night shift. The primary purpose of the role is to produce high standard imaging thus contributing to a quality diagnostic radiography service for all referrers and their patients.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will be working with the Starship Radiology team. Our services include imaging for Inpatients, Emergency Department and Outpatients as well as in Starship Operating Rooms. Our Radiology department is equipped with three state of the art DR plain x-ray units, including a brand-new Siemens Multitom Rax, three DR C-arms and an O-arm in theatre as well as three DR Philips portable machines. We have a Siemens Luminos Fluoroscopy unit, a Siemens Force CT, and a Siemens Verio 3T MRI. As a team of 20 Medical Radiation Technologists, with a wide range of experience and skillset, we provide a supportive environment for all new staff with a comprehensive orientation programme, on-going mentoring and continuous opportunities for further training and growth.

About you
As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- You must be registered with the New Zealand MRT Board and have a current Annual Practicing Certificate to be considered. For more details visit: mrtboard.org.nz
- Previous paediatric experience would be beneficial but not vital, although an ability to relate well to children and caregivers is essential. The ability to function as a member of a small enthusiastic group is required and, as the work involves some sole charge shifts, an ability to work unsupervised is required.
- The successful applicant will be expected to perform the full range of radiology procedures using the equipment available. Starship is a filmless Department utilising both CR and DR
