- Permanent part-time position 24 hours per week-covering all shifts over the week (Monday-Sunday)

About the Role
Kahurangi Dementia Unit cares for up to 20 full-time residents. They provide modern, home-like facilities for people assessed as Hospital Level dementia care needing short-term or long-term care.
In this role you will be under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse and be working closely with the nursing teams. This role is excellent for someone who is looking to develop their skills and grow their career in Health care. The role will be predominantly based within the Kahurangi Dementia Unit but you will be called on to assist the wider nursing teams at times as well.
You will be responsible for:
- All aspects of resident care
- Assisting the clinical team with a variety of tasks
- Ensuring that our residents have the best experience possible and engaged with meaningful activity
About you
Skills and Experience
- Kind and caring nature with - Can do" attitude
- Excellent communication with a great sense of humour
- High levels of confidentially
- Ability to build relationships with people from all walks of life
- Previous experience in Mental Health or Dementia care or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
