Team and Group:  Ministerial and Executive Services, Performance and Governance  

Position Type:  Fixed Term or Secondment until May 2026, Full Time (38 hours per week)

Location:  Wellington CBD office (Queens Wharf)

Salary: $62,867 - $76,122 per annum (+ KiwiSaver)

About the opportunity | Ngā whakamārama mō te tūnga

Ready for your next move? An internal secondment to the Ministers office has created a new opportunity in our Ministerial and Executive Services team. The Ministerial and Executive Services team are responsible for the Ministry's corporate accountability documents, planning and reporting and official correspondence functions. Recently, a new operating model was established to deliver functions more efficiently and better support the Ministry to meet its statutory obligations and performance targets.  

As one of the coordinators in the Ministerial and Executive Services team you'll be engaging with teams and colleagues across the Ministry, providing high-quality customer service and support.  You will add value by making these functions and tasks run smoothly, easy for other teams to complete and delivered to a high standard. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your coordination skills and experience and be part of implementing a new way of working.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the flow of all official correspondence
  • Compiling the Weekly Report for the Minister
  • Coordinate the Ministry's responses to coronial findings and Transport Accident Investigation Commission reports
  • Providing coordination support to select committee processes, including annual review and estimates

 

What you'll bring | Te wāhi ki a koe

  • A tertiary qualification
  • Relevant coordination experience
  • Experience working with in a similar ministerial environment and/or knowledge in the machinery of government
  • Experience in the review, design, mapping and implementation of business processes
  • Experience in utilising working relationships to improve business practices
  • Experience operating in a fast paced and changeable work environment
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficient time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and products

 

Salary range | Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau

The base salary range budget for this position is $62,867 - $76,122 per annum + KiwiSaver. The salary offered will reflect skills and experience.
