About the role:
- We invite you to join us in a part-time (up to 0.5FTE, 18.75hrs per week) Advanced Trainee RMO role within Te Whatu Ora Southern
- This role will be in partnership with an academic O&G role with University of Otago
- The primary objective of the Te Whatu Ora Southern role is the provision of comprehensive experience and training in abortion care
- Out of hours duties will provide experience in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- The academic role offers opportunities to fulfil the RANZCOG academic ATM and your personal RANZCOG research requirements
- We recognise the importance of evidence-based practice, and the role research plays in advancing the field of obstetrics and gynaecology
- By engaging in research and academic pursuits, you will contribute to the growth of knowledge in this vital area of healthcare

About you
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at MCNZ
- Be an Advanced Trainee Registrar with RANZCOG
It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
